GHTC signs letter to US administration stakeholders in support of funding for Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance

GHTC signed onto a letter, compiled by ONE and RESULTS, to the White House Office of Management and Budget and other stakeholders in the Biden Administration, urging full funding, in line with the global health community's request of $340 million, and continued support for Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance in the fiscal year 2025 President's Budget Request.

GHTC signs letter urging congressional leaders to avoid funding cuts to vital programs

GHTC signed a letter signed by 850 organizations urging congressional leaders to adopt the Senate's government funding framework as the starting point for a final fiscal year 2024 appropriations deal to avoid the possibility of steep cuts to vital programs funded by non-defense discretionary appropriations that could be enacted in other funding scenarios.

GHTC signs letter criticizing proposed House cuts to NIH, CDC, WHO

GHTC contributed to and endorsed a letter from the Global Health Council to House appropriators raising concerns about proposed cuts in the fiscal year 2024 House Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies bill, which could severely undercut global health and research programs at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and National Institutes of Health (NIH), as well as prohibit funding from going to the World Health Organization (WHO).

GHTC contributed to an independent report facilitated and published by CoLab International, in partnership with Wellcome Trust, on strategies to reform the infectious disease research and development (R&D) ecosystem globally.
