GHTC urges Congress to raise non-defense discretionary spending caps to allow sustained funding for global health

GHTC joined with other members of the global health community in sending a letter to Congressional leaders urging them to raise the non-defense discretionary spending cap as part of fiscal year 2108 budget deal negotiations to allow sustained funding for global health programs through the International Affairs (Function 150) and Health (Function 550) accounts.

GHTC sends letter urging House Armed Services Committee Chairman to oppose provisions in Defense Authorization Act that would threaten global health research

GHTC sent a letter to House Armed Services Committee Chairman Mac Thornberry urging him, as the fiscal year 2018 National Defense Authorization Act undergoes House and Senate conference, to oppose provisions in the Senate bill that would threaten global health research at the US Department of Defense.
