GHTC welcomes Atul Gawande as new USAID Assistant Administrator for Global Health

GHTC sent a letter to Dr. Atul Gawande, incoming Assistant Administrator for Global Health at the US Agency for International Development (USAID) welcoming him and highlighting opportunities to strengthen the agency's contributions to health R&D.

GHTC provides input on Cures 2.0 legislation

GHTC provided input, via the advocacy group Research!America, on the draft 21st Century Cures 2.0 legislation being advanced by US Reps. Diana DeGette (D-CO) and Fred Upton (R-MI). GHTCs input focused on how a new Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) could accelerate R&D for poverty-related and neglected diseases, an area of recognized market failure.
