GHTC director Jamie Bay Nishi delivered in-person testimony on March 12 before the House Appropriations Subcommittee on State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs on the fiscal year 2021 budget for Global Health Programs at the US Agency for International Development and State Department.
GHTC delivered a statement at the 146th session of the World Health Organization (WHO) Executive Board calling on WHO to continue assessing the impact of the Nagoya Protocol and national implementing legislation on public health. The statement, issued through the Global Health Council, encourages WHO to conduct a review of all existing legislation and provisions governing international sample and pathogen sharing to present a fuller picture of potential impact.
